A step backward from the previous version
I don’t mind that they updated the look, but this new version is a massive step backwards for me. I’ve stopped using the app at this point. The old Toolbar could be customized so that you could just put up the services you used most often (for me that was Facebook, Twitter, and Save to Instapaper). Now, none of those are available in the toolbar at all. And the toolbar can’t be changed. You’re stuck with the app developers choice of icons of which I only use two. There are now six or seven icons that I have no use for, that I can’t move or get rid of. And the only two icons I use constantly are sandwiched between these useless icons so that it takes me much longer to close articles or mark as read then it did before.
I don’t care about interface changes if it’s just a matter of style. Don’t necessarily appreciate when oft-used icons get shifted around, but when functionality goes away, the app becomes useless.
If this interface gets fixed so that I can customize again for what I do, I’ll use it again.
