Total waste of time and money
Don’t waste your money.
Although this has a very nice looking interface, it is useless as an RSS client when the “import” feature is greyed out all the time. I have been an active user of NetNewsWire for many years, and used an OPML export from NNW to try to import into ReadKit. Unless maybe ReadKit has to be set to be the default RSS reader (which I am unwilling to do since there is no menu item to un-do this action) there seems to be no way to activate the import feature. Yet the developer’s site clearly states "ReadKit can import OPML into its built-in RSS engine”. Nor have I discovered any way to directly add RSS feeds to ReadKit. So its function seems to be limited to that of an aggregator of Read Later items.
The developer does not respond to requests for help.
Did anyone actually try the app before voting it a “Mac App Store Best of 2013”?
