An excellent RSS reader, with room to improve.
I’ve been very happy with ReadKit since I bought it, and see it as being a large improvement over Reeder.
Here are the things that have stood out at me as being especially good:
* Instapaper and Readability integration are baked in, so you can easily pull the full text of an article from feeds that only offer an excerpt.
* Good support of pinboard.in
* Very nice themes
* Good keyboard shortcuts
* Uncluttered, easy to use interface
* Good feedly support
Some room for improvement:
* Add a ‘open in readability’ option for right clicking on links. Sometimes RSS feeds have links to articles that I’d like to get directly to reading, rather than sending them in instapaper/readabiilty/etc.
* Support for sharing through bitly.
These suggestions are just little things that would allow it to more seamlessly integrate into my own workflow, and certainly aren’t reasons to not purchase.
If you’re looking for an elegant, full-featured RSS reader that gets out of the way and lets you read your news with an absolute minimum of hassles, ReadKit is the best I’ve found.
